I love Spring and am lucky enough to live near back roads and lanes where the hedgerows become full of bluebells, unfurling ferns, red campion and cow parsley which billows out and sways in the breeze. Walking in May is sheer bliss and I am always blown away by the colours that erupt in the hedgerows.

Description:
Painting on a background of mulberry paper, which gives the painting some background texture, I used a combination of acrylic paints, inks and pastels to create this cheerful painting. I added music spots amongst the hedgerow flowers. When I had finished painting I stitched sequins into the picture to give a little sparkle in the hedgerow. The overall result is a very pretty and cheerful painting.
The painting has a pretty frayed edge and is mounted on paper. I have handwritten the title on the paper underneath the picture.. The painting is signed by me. The painting would come rolled in a tube ready for framing.
