I dream of having a little cottage by the sea, so when I spied a little house perched on top of a hill when visiting north Cornwall one fine spring day, it made me smile.
I thought of how many happy memories were probably bound up in that little house and as its windows sparkled in the sunlight, the title of this painting "The little house glowed with happy memories" came to mind.

Description:
Starting with a base of board and layers of music paper for the sea, I used a combination of acrylic paints, inks and pastels to create a little house, with sparkly windows surrounded by spring flowers looking out onto the beautiful ocean, When I had finished painting I stitched sequins into the picture to give the sea plenty of sparkle. It is a very happy painting.
The painting comes with an off-white mount on which I have handwritten the title. The painting is signed by me and comes protected in a clear cellophane bag ready for framing.
